The Omega School of Excellence, one of Dayton's first charter schools, was founded by Daryl and Vanessa Ward of the Omega Baptist Church in west Dayton. Since it's inception, it has been the school's goal to educate students in the surrounding community, providing the skills and knowledge needed to compete and succeed in their secondary and post secondary education.
Omega has partnered with k.i.d.s. (Keys to Improving Dayton Schools), a Dayton based organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of public school choices for Dayton children. k.i.d.s. provides operational, financial, and academic support to Omega, allowing the school to focus more on what matters most to parents: your child's education.
Students at the Omega School of Excellence receive more instructional time per school year to focus on the core subjects of Reading, Math, History, and Science. During their extra instructional time, Omega students also benefit from a low teacher to student ratio (1:14).
